The Darkest Hour Nouveau-style (large file) by spookyheart The Darkest Hour Nouveau-style (large file) by spookyheart
I painted this for Victoria Holmes, better known as the original Erin Hunter, and gave it to her at her tour stop in Naperville, Illinois. She was incredibly kind and grateful for it and signed my books with very kind words. It was one of the most gratifying experiences ever, and even though this picture took ages, I'd do it again.
There's not too much to say on it; The center cat is Firestar, and the main image is Scourge overlooking Fourtrees with his claws out.

No problem! I love Warrior Cats series. I finished the first book two weeks ago. I'm from Portugal, and in my country, the Warrior Cats series only came on summer 2013.

When I first read Warriors, Spottedleaf's death made me sad, but Lionheart's death made me sob for an hour ;;m;; He's one of my favorites.

Oh, yes, Lionheart's death... I love him too, he was so comprehensive and noble... I was sad when he died, and also tired because he died too soon. I mean, first, Redtail dies, and so Bluestar chooses Lionheart, and then, Lionheart dies, and Bluestar stays without a deputy again. So, I was tired of so much deputy death and so soon... And I was thinking: for God, Warrior Cats has so many deaths! But I love the series. And Firepaw/Fireheart is so cute!

The deaths only get sadder, I'm afraid, and in some cases more frequent. I like the third and sixth books the best from the first story arc.
